Modern Squarespace Website for Ahkirah, a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Consulting Firm
Project Summary: Transforming Ahkirah’s Online Presence to Scale Corporate Impact
Ahkirah is a Black and woman-owned DEIJ consulting firm. Their CEO reached out to me after discovering another website I’d built for a previous client at an event and scrolling down to see my name. While their current WIX website helped them start their journey, it was no longer meeting the firm’s growth ambitions. Ready to pitch larger corporations, the CEO wanted a site that captured the firm’s expertise, impact, and professionalism while reflecting the strength behind their team.
This redesign represented something deeper than aesthetics—it was about aligning Ahkirah’s online presence with their mission.
Here’s What I Delivered:
Expanded Homepage: Centered on Ahkirah’s brand story and key messaging to showcase why they stand out from their competitors.
Integration of Press Clips: Embedded videos to elevate visual engagement.
Client-Focused Service Page: Organized by client type (law firms, corporations, governments, universities, and non-profits). Each section highlighted Ahkirah’s tailored approach to diverse industries.
Portfolio Addition: Built a portfolio section that doubled as social proof for potential clients.
Impact Page: Featured impressive metrics, like over 100,000 people educated through Ahkirah’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
Streamlined Contact Page: Simplified forms for clients, media inquiries, and booking speaking engagements.
Creative Branding Touch: Customized the website menu icon using Ahkirah’s logo for a personalized twist.
Website Copywriting: Authored all copy, ensuring it fully emphasized the firm’s vision while remaining approachable and ensuring clarity.
The Solution: Crafting a Website with High-End Sophistication
Why it Works
This project wasn’t just about building a beautiful site—it was about reinforcing Ahkirah’s reputation and equipping them for bigger client acquisition.
The result? It’s already bringing in new opportunities. I’m thrilled to see how this revamp is helping amplify Ahkirah’s impact at a key moment for DEIJ advocacy.
